Our Initiatives
Unique to the Asia-Pacific region, N-PEACE operates in Afghanistan, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, the Philippines and Sri Lanka to increase the role of women in conflict resolution and peacebuilding. Many interventions aimed at facilitating women, peace and security have approached women’s inclusion through top-down tactics: influencing policy and lawmakers, empowering women to realize their economic potential, and introducing quotas for women’s participation in peace agreements and political institutions.

Empowering People And Promoting Inclusion And Equality For All Leads To Greater Sustainable Development
Empowering people and ensuring inclusiveness and equality is critical to realizing sustainable development, said a joint report Accelerating Progress: An Empowered, Inclusive, and Equal Asia and the Pacific by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
ASEAN-China-UNDP 2019 Symposium: Innovation in Achieving the SDGs and Eradicating Poverty, 4-5 September 2019, Hanoi, Viet Nam
The Symposium, together with the research report, are expected to be successful knowledge-sharing platform for policy makers from ASEAN Member States and relevant stakeholders on the potential strategies to strengthen the roles of innovation in achieving the SDGs.
