Human Development Reimagined
By Pedro Conceição,Director of the Human Development Report Office at UNDP
UNDP’s Human Development Report (HDR) celebrates its 30th birthday next year. And in the run up to that the Human Development Report Office is embarking on a major effort to re-articulate human development for today’s world.
If we conceive development as freedom, inequality is imprisonment
Inequality is a defining challenge of our time. But what does it really look like? Do we have the right measures of inequality? And what might this mean for societies worldwide for the rest of the 21st Century?
Announcing the 2019 Human Development Report
The 2019 Human Development Report will focus on understanding the dimensions of inequality most important to people’s well-being, and what is behind them. The report will provide a comprehensive global analysis of inequality using a brand-new framework that looks: beyond income, beyond averages and beyond today.
