In 2018 UNDP Myanmar finalised it new Country Programme Document (CPD) 2018-2022 and began implementation. The CPD has two main outcomes – governance and sustainable peace, and sustainable and inclusive growth. Both outcomes are closely aligned with national priorities and the MSDP, which in turn is inspired by the 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Plan aims to minimize damage to property, reduce injury and lives lost, and normalize the lives of those affected in a timely manner in the case of a damaging earthquake in the country.
This report provides an update and a basic diagnostic of poverty in Myanmar.
The Vice President, H.E. U Henry Van Thio, the chairman of the National Disaster Management Committee launched the National Earthquake Preparedness and Response Plan in Nay Pyi Taw on 6 August 2019.

Blind Hat’s Sein Lae Myay helps farmers improve their supply and value chains by providing them with a platform for transactional, rental and information-sharing activities.
