The report provides specific recommendations and suggested actions that will promote legal gender recognition and inclusion for transgender people and, if adopted, will facilitate an enabling environment for transgender people to access education, employment, health and other public services.
Belt and Road Initiative
The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) is an international cooperation initiative that aims to advance global and regional connectivity. Its main objective is to increase connectivity between China and other countries through infrastructure and other connectivity related investments, policy coordination, unimpeded trade, financial integration, and people-to-people bonds. It entails large financing and investment flows to BRI partner countries for these purposes, as well as other cooperation mechanisms.
UN Welcomes China's Development Role
Over the past decade, China has been increasingly engaging in the South-South cooperation initiatives to support other developing countries with sustainable development and to advance the UN's 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda. Since the 1950s, China has offered assistance to more than 160 countries, providing knowledge, technology and capacity building. And now after decades of dealing with frequent natural disasters and working on its domestic disaster relief capacities, China is sharing its experience and these solutions with the world.
