UNDP’s newly appointed Resident Representative for Barbados and the OECS, Mr. Magdy Martinez-Soliman, has recently met with key partners and stakeholders in the British Virgin Islands (BVI), Barbados and Antigua and Barbuda where he presented letters of credence.
Barbados’ biggest environmental event was recently held at Pelican Village.
During them ninth sitting of the Special Committee on Decolonization, the Committee heard from the Special Envoy of the Premier of the British Virgin Islands (BVI) where priority was given to recovery post Hurricanes Irma and Maria and the sustainable development of the BVI.
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus have partnered to present a series of talks on the Blue Economy.
