Guatemala Humanitarian Emergency

Guatemala is one of the countries in Latin America experiencing a serious El Nino-induced drought. Of the 3.5 million people impacted in the Region, 1.5 million are Guatemalans. Lack of food and water is expected to worsen the nutritional status of those affected, making them vulneralbe to health problems and displacement. UNFPA is focusing on supporting sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and gender based violence (GBV) services.
