From 16 to 19 July 2019, the Turkish Creative City of Kütahya is organizing “The Cradle of Foundation: Domaniç Exhibition” in İzmir. The main objective of this social project is to contribute to the economic and social development of Domaniç Province, strengthen the cooperation between stakeholders and artists.
Carrara Creative City Award aims to give a concrete contribution to building a universal language by linking culture and education in order to foster a culture of peace through the arts. It offers young sculptors the opportunity to live a period of study and an authentic experience during which they can express their own creativity in an international competition aimed at spreading UNESCO values and principles.
From 10 to 15 June 2019, in Fabriano, Italy, the UNESCO Creative Cities Network XIII Annual Conference gathered 50 mayors among 480 participates from some 145 cities worldwide.
Committed to achieving the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, through culture-oriented policies, the mayors exchanged on the theme of “The Ideal City”, and shared examples of how their cities are addressing community needs by building on culture and creativity to develop innovative and inclusive urban strategies.

Gabrovo is a city with a rich cultural history, a guardian of traditional crafts and folk art in Bulgaria, with singular humour tradition; that have successfully contributed to the city’s development through culture. The local community is particularly engaged to protect and promote crafts and folk art and recognizes its transversal potential for development, covering notably the fields of economy and education.
From 20 to 22 December, the Iranian UNESCO Creative City of Crafts and Folk Art will be the host of a first international exhibition on creative industries, covering various fields of culture and creativity including heritage, visual arts and information media.
