Studies: Graduated in Law from the Central American University of Nicaragua and completed her academic background with a Masters Degree in Diplomacy and International Relations obtained at the “Centre d’ Etudes Diplomatiques et Stratégiques” de Paris.

Professional career: Various high-level responsibilities at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua. Secretary-General (with rank of Minister) of the Ministry of Defense (2007-2012). First Secretary of the Embassy of Nicaragua to France (1985-1990). Numerous missions as head or part of Nicaraguan delegations to international events.
