Chengdu 27 - 29 September 2014
The VIII Annual Meeting of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) will took place in Chengdu, China (designated UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy in 2010), from 27 to 29 September 2014.
The main goals of the meeting were to:
- Review the UCCN activities and 2014 Call for Applications
- Refine the strategic objectives of the UCCN in the framework of the Post-2015 Development Agenda
- Reflect on a flexible governance mechanism for the UCCN
- Orient the future enlargement and growth of a reinvigorated UCCN.
Past Creative Cities annual meetings have been held in Paris (UNESCO HQ, 2008), Santa Fe (2008), Lyon (2009), Shenzhen (2010), Seoul (2011), Montréal (2012), Bologna (2013).
The next meeting of the network is scheduled in 2015 in Kanazawa.
