Résumé
Omar López Olarte is a Colombian economist who has participated in several projects in cultural statistics. He has worked as a consultant with the UNESCO Institute for Statistics (UIS) in a cultural employment statistics project. He also contributed to the UNESCO Culture and Development Indicators Project in methodological issues and coordinated its implementation in Colombia. As well, he worked for Regional Latin America Organization Convenio Andrés Bello supporting cultural economics research projects and leading a framework for the implementation of Satellite Accounts on Culture in this region. He likewise has worked in the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluating of development programmes and policies in Colombia in culture development and other fields related to ethnic minorities, poverty, food and nutrition security, alternative development and diasporas.
