The overall objective of this strategy is to stop new HIV infections − in key populations as well as in the general population of Liberia − and keep PLHIV in Liberia alive and healthy. Specific objectives, include: Reduction of new HIV infections among the general population, particularly young women; Reduction of new HIV infection among men-who-have-sex-with-men, transgender people, people who inject drugs, sex workers, prisoners, uniformed services personnel, mobile traders, miners and transport workers (by 50%); Elimination of HIV related stigma and discrimination, including stigmatisation and discrimination of key populations.
