It is heartbreaking and 1436 of them were #Syrian children.
@antonioguterres and you must use your position to name the people who are killing these children, and be the first to condemn and to call on the World to ACT to protect them.http://sn4hr.org/blog/2019/01/01/52952/ …

Kashmir is bleeding sir. UN can't afford silence over brutality against children, women and unarmed innocent people of Kashmir anymore. You have to rise above everything that impedes the powers of UN.

My Excellency UN-GS, Mr. Antonio, certainly, the Impact of Armed Conflict on Children is testimony to the millions of children who have been killed, injured and permanently disabled as a result of armed conflicts. It is testimony to countless others who have been forced to ...

I get that the gesture meant well but honestly this just seems like a PR stunt, to align so many school bags on a lawn. Better to do something more meaningful as u &
@UNICEF have the power to. Meanwhile May I please have the bags?? My kids could really use them for school -
Our world really takes pride in monuments and gestures that gain publicity and attention and yet the conflict that is continuously ravaging young lives is a perpetual horror show! The bags could be of immense use this side of the globe

The 3,758 kids could have grown to become a new generation of
#scientists,#entrepreneurs &#leaders who come up with next great idea for#humanity & the#planet that we desperately need. Heartbreaking to steal the dreams, possibilities and opportunities away from#children!pic.twitter.com/ickFLg9R4a - 1 more reply

Heartbreaking indeed. Therefore not a good choice here with the selection of one picture where Henrietta H. Fore looks like smiling a bit (even if not but it can be interpreted as such). And it would be good to know what you will do with all these schoolbags afterwards.
@UNICEF -
Exactly! Children in need could use those bags.

I have seen children with them in schools assisted by UN in Iraq
