Volunteers of the Memorial honoured with the awards “If Not for Those Ten... ”

At the 72nd anniversary of creation of the Museum at the former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau, volunteers and representatives of institutions supporting voluntary work at the Memorial were honoured with the awards “If Not for Those Ten...”. Among them there were persons from Poland, Italy, Germany, Austria, Russia, the United States, Japan.
Seminar in collaboration with the academic centre for oral history in Voronezh

The International Centre for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust has organised for the seventh time, in cooperation with the Academic Centre for Oral History in Voronezh, a seminar for teachers and educators from Russia entitled “Auschwitz - history and symbol” The project, which took place between 15 and 18 April 2019, involved 22 people from different Russian cities.
International Summer Academy 2019 in English and German - Call for Participants

The International Center for Education about Auschwitz and the Holocaust is opening the application session to participate in the 7th edition of the International Summer Academy. This English-speaking program will take place from 20 to 27 July 2019 and the German-speaking from 17 to 23 August 2019 at the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum. The seminar is addressed to teachers, educators, historians, employees of memorial sites, students and all those interested in the history of WWII and the Holocaust.
Educational challenges in authentic memorial sites

The results of the three-year project “The Future of Auschwitz and the Holocaust Education in Authentic Memorial Sites” implemented by the Auschwitz Museum and the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam were summarised during an international conference held at the Book Gallery in Oświęcim from 10-12 October.
