When:
Wed, 06/01/2016 to Sun, 06/05/2016

For the 9th edition called “Mondes sensibles”, the International Digital Arts Biennial gathered more than 26,000 visitors in Enghien-les-Bains during 5 days. The programme, which comprised an exhibition, installations in the city and an electro concert on the floating stage on the lake among others, was entirely free. The novelty of the festival, the Digital Factory, a 700m2 trade show with 30 exhibitors (universities, research institutes and French and international companies) had a large success.

In the framework of the international competition, five transdisciplinary performances have been presented to the audience.  Selected among 144 applications and 30 nationalities, the different proposals have highlighted the interaction between sound and image through generative process in real time. During the closing ceremony of the Bains numériques #9, two juries composed of professionals of the digital creation on the one hand and of journalists on the other hand, have granted two awards. The Bains numériques #9 award has been given to Dariusz Makaruk and Alba G. Corral for Dimension N and the press jury has awarded Adelin Schweitzer and Charles Sadoul for Motor Corex.

The event has attracted many of the Creative Cities of Media Arts including Dakar, York and Sapporo.
