UNESCO Reports on Artificial Intelligence published

UNESCO has recently published two outcome reports of 2019 Mobile Learning Week, focused on the theme ‘Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Development’. The Mobile Learning Week is an annual UNESCO flagship event for information and communication technology (ICT) in education.

The report “Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Development: Synthesis Report” summarizes sessions and discussions of this years' event. Another report “Artificial Intelligence in Education: Compendium of Promising Initiatives” is an attempt to present a selection of initiatives in artificial intelligence in Education, which emerged from the 2019 Call for Proposals of the Mobile Learning Week.

Artificial Intelligence refers to tools that exhibit human intelligence and behavior, including self-learning robots, expert systems, voice recognition, natural and automated translation.
