Who are UIL’s alumni?
Alumni include anyone who has worked at UIL to support and promote lifelong learning with a focus on adult and continuing education, literacy and non-formal basic education. This includes but is not limited to:
- Former interns, scholars and fellows, former UIL staff members, former UIL Governing Board members, UIL honorary fellows, former consultants and former visiting researchers.

Stay informed about the work of UIL and current trends in lifelong learning.
• the Alumni e-Newsletter; • UIL’s quarterly newsletter, NEXUS; • UIL’s yearly Publications Catalogue; • e-mail announcements on important information for alumni, such as job opportunities, courses and conferences. |
Take part in web seminars, follow streamed conferences and participate in online training and certification programmes. Be informed about important events in lifelong learning with a focus on adult and continuing education, literacy and non-formal basic education. |
Once a year, 10 alumni will be chosen to receive a free one-year online subscription to the International Review of Education – Journal of Lifelong Learning for their affiliated institution. |
Expand and enrich your network. Engage with experts on the most relevant global and regional trends in lifelong learning, adult and continuing education, literacy and non-formal basic education. Find a consultant, advisor or build a new team. Be in touch with valuable people related to the education sector via social media channels. |
