This short video introduces the concept of transformative pedagogy and UNESCO-IICBA's approach to how it can be used for peace-building. Transformative pedagogy empowers both teachers and learners. It encourages learners to be reflective and critical thinkers who are able to contribute meaningfully as members of local and global communities. It also redefines the role of teachers. Teachers become facilitators with the disposition, knowledge, skills and commitment to support students to develop their full potential as peace-builders.

Learn more about transformative pedagogy for peace-building in a guide that UNESCO-IICBA developed for teachers, accessible here: http://unesdoc.unesco.org/images/0026...
