Until 30 November 2019, the Call for Entries for the 2019 Shenzhen Design Award for Young Talents (SDAY) is open. For its 4th edition, SDAY invites design professionals or students aged 35 or younger of the 180 UNESCO Creative Cities to submit their work on the theme of Inclusive Design.
Until 20 March 2019, the second Shenzhen Global Design Award (SDA) is calling for entries and through 5 design categories: Industrial & Product, Communication, Architecture, Interior, Fashion.
Within the 2nd Shenzhen Design Week, to be held from 20th to 30th April. The city of Shenzhen invites industrial and product designers to enter the inaugural Shenzhen Global Design Award (SDA).
Until 31 December, the 2017 Call for Entries of the Shenzhen Design Award for Young Talents (SDAY) is open to find the new young talents of the design field within the Network. The Call is organized by Shenzhen City of Design Promotion Office and Shenzhen City of Design Promotion Association (SDPA), in association with the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.
Five designer from Saint-Etienne were present for the First Shenzhen Design week from 21 to 28 April 2017 on the thematic “Design for the future”: Fabien Barrero- Carsenat, Alix Briffaud, Cahen & Gregori, Bruno Lefebvre and Philippe Moine.
On 27th of June, the awarding ceremony of the second edition of the Shenzhen Design Award for Young Talents (SZ+DAY) took place at the China Culture Center in Paris.
The second edition of Shenzhen Design Award for Young Talents (SZ+DAY), launched on 1st July 2015, revealed its winners.   
The second edition of Shenzhen Design Award for Young Talents (SZ+DAY) is launched on 1st July 2015. Dedicated to recognizing successful or potential young designers from all UNESCO Creative Cities, the theme of Award this year is Transformation: the Mission of Design.
Organized by UNESCO in collaboration with the City of Shenzhen in conjunction with the UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network, the conference gathered the representatives of the Creative Cities of Design, experts in city designs and planning as well as policy-makers, renown architects, and private sector contributors.  
The International Conference 2010 on “New technology, new media and creative city synergy” was hosted by the City of Shenzhen on 7-9 December 2010. Attended by UNESCO officials, creative city members, new media experts, economists and creative industry people, the conference programme was highlighted by keynote speeches, panel discussions with the UNESCO creative cities, workshops and public discussions.
