The Association of European Journalists invites you to a conference on the threats against journalists and democratic principles in Europe on December 6th.

Never in Europe has the profession of journalist been so questioned and so risky: political or financial pressure, discredit, assassination and intimidation or self-censorship, the atmosphere in which they practice their profession is deteriorating.

The conference will consist of four discussion workshops on the following topics:
1. Europe is no longer a safe place for journalists
2. Is an informed public debate still possible in the era of misinformation?
3. Women journalists, the main victims of all forms of harassment
4. Audiovisual public service facing populism

The conference will take place from 9:00 to 18:00 / UNESCO House, Hall IV / 125 avenue de Suffren / Paris 7th

The debates will take place in French and English with simultaneous translation.
