Bronze Age cultural complex site with deer stones at Khoit Tamir
The analysis by ICOMOS entitled “The World Heritage List: Filling the Gaps - An Action Plan for the Future” showed that the nomadic pastoralist cultures were underrepresented on the World Heritage List. Complex heritage sites of the Bronze Age in Mongolia can be considered as important representatives of such ancient nomadic cultures in Central Asia.

Therefore, the objective of this project is to prepare a nomination file for the serial cultural site “Deer stone monuments, the Heart of Bronze age culture”, for a possible submission in 2018.

This request was funded thanks to a contribution by the Government of the Netherlands.
