The monograph contains six chapters: youth development; youth education; youth health; youth employment; youth participation; and conclusions and recommendations. The first chapter on youth development provides an overview of youth participation in national development followed by a review of the national youth policy and programmes. Each of the three chapters on education, health and employment begin with an analysis of policy and followed by a quantitative and a qualitative analysis on youth issues in the relevant area.
This national strategic assesment of reproductive health was conducted by the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH), Lao PDR in collaboration with the World Health Organization, with objectives to identify priority areas for programme intervention and research in reproductive health; and to provide recommendations for strengthening reproductive health services and improving quality of care. The strategic assessment was intended to serve as input to the MOPH in its efforts to develop an integrated approach to reproductive health service delivery.

Case studies from Bolivia, Guatemala, Mexico, and Peru highlight the activities carried out by POLICY staff to promote local-level participation in improving the policy environment for sexual and reproductive health in Latin America as a whole.

This study examines how developing countries, governments and international donors can stimulate private sector involvement in the reproductive health arena, with a particular emphasis on improving the availability of commodities such as contraceptives, drugs for treatment of Sexual Transmitted Infections, and nutritional supplements. The report aims to help policy makers in both developing and donor countries better understand the crucial role of private business in expanding access to reproductive health care.
