The celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the UNESCO-Hamdan bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Prize for Outstanding Practice and Performance in Enhancing the Effectiveness of Teachers will be held in presence of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum of the United Arab Emirates, and of the Laureates of the previous editions. The ceremony will highlight the achievements of the Prize in improving teacher effectiveness globally, with a special focus on the empowerment of young teachers in developing countries.

The UNESCO-Hamdan Prize on Teachers was created in 2008 to support the improvement of teaching and learning quality in achieving the Education for All goals. Awarded every two years by an international Jury, the Prize is generously supported by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum of the United Arab Emirates. It amounts to US $300,000, equally divided between three winners.
