Internal Communication Board

The establishment of an Internal Communications Board as part of the Strategic Transformation comes with the goal of fostering coherency and improving the overall internal communications of UNESCO.

The newly formed Board is responsible for collecting and structuring initiatives related to Internal Communication, to collect ideas and facilitate their implementation.

The Board has already taken concrete measures to transform UNESCO’s internal communication, including:

1) The launch of a new Intranet system that integrates the functions of UNESCOMMUNITY, DUO and UNESTEAMS;

2) A new policy for internal emails sent to all staff to improve the consistency of house-wide emails;

3) Enhancing the results of the measures taken as part of the Strategic Transformation on all internal communication media.

The Board is composed of ADGs and is chaired by the Director of the Cabinet, with DPI serving as the Secretariat. It will meet twice a year at the ADG level and once a month at the operational level.
