Film production and script writing workshop in Tashkent

UNESCO and the Embassy of Poland in Uzbekistan in close cooperation with the Film School "Focus" will organize a master class on script writing and film production on 4 May in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The purpose of the master class will be to train young scriptwriters and producers in the preparation of film scripts and to familiarize the participants with the necessary knowledge and skills aimed at promoting Uzbek films in the foreign cinema arena. The master class will be attended by representatives of the film industry of Uzbekistan, in particular young filmmakers and scriptwriters as well as teachers of different universities.

The workshop is part of project “Strengthening the Sustainability of the Film Industry in Uzbekistan" launched in 2017 with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea through the Korean Funds in Trust (KFIT). This project aims at strengthening the development and promoting of the film industry in Uzbekistan, thus contributing to the protection and promotion of the diversity of cultural expressions. The project also aims to stimulate international cooperation and establish business contacts in the field of the film industry in Uzbekistan.
