Paula Saucedo

Rompe el Miedo, ARTICLE 19

Paula Saucedo is a gender and human rights defender, with over 7 years of experience, she has worked with several NGOs, United Nations and International Cooperation Agencies. Currently, she is the prevention coordinator at Article 19 Mexico and Central America, she also manages the Red Rompe el Miedo (RRM) (break the fear network). The RRM is an innovative alliance between alternative media, Human Right Defenders and professional journalists, that monitors and protects journalists, human rights defenders and other social communicators, during risk coverages such as electoral process and protests. In 2018, during the elections, 800 journalists joined the network, 12 regional monitoring centers were created, and 185 cases of violence against journalists were documented.
