Literacy and Lifelong Learning

Literacy changes lives. We know by fact that literacy can affect a human’s live on economic well-being, aspirations, family life, health and civic or cultural engagement. Improving literacy of the people means improving the community and on a broader sense, improving the nation. Through the process of learning to read, learning to understand the message behind text and picture, people gaining knowledge to improve the quality of life.

In the area of Literacy and Lifelong Learning, UNESCO Office Jakarta has successfully implement a project which aims to develop the capacity of the key educational stakeholders at national and sub-national levels.
