Meetings of the Advisory Body

The Scientific and Technical Advisory Body of the 2001 Convention on the Protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage meets at least once every year. These meetings are attended by the members of the Advisory Body, by a member of the UNESCO Secretariat and by representatives of the accredited NGOs. Additionally experts suitably qualified to assist the Advisory Body may be invited to address the meeting.
At the meetings recommendations of the Advisory Body are adopted by consensus of its members, or - if no consensus is reached - by majority vote.
