The Technical Cooperation Group on the Indicators for SDG 4 – Education 2030 (TCG) serves as a platform to discuss and develop the indicators used for monitoring the Education 2030 targets in an open, inclusive and transparent manner.

TCG is composed of 35 regionally-representative members from Member States, international partners, and civil societies. Education 2030 Steering Committee co-chairs the group and the UNESCO Institute for Statistics (UIS) hosts its Secretariat.

The complete list of SDG 4 indicators includes the current set of 11 global and 32 thematic indicators agreed upon by the United Nations Statistical Commission (UNSC) and the TCG respectively for the follow-up and review of the SDG4 - Education 2030 Agenda.

Partnerships to implement the SDG 4 Education 2030 Indicator Framework

The Education 2030 Framework for Action mandates the UNESCO Institute for Statistics (UIS) to work with partner organizations and experts on the development of indicators, statistical approaches and monitoring tools to assess progress towards SDG 4.

 

The Global Coalition for Education Data (GCED) is a joint effort by countries, development partners, civil society and academia to strengthen national education systems, improve the quality of education data and build capacity to track progress towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
