UNESCO drills community radio practitioners on communicationUNESCO has organized a five days training in communication and visibility  in a bid to support individuals’ members of TADIO leadership to become the best version of themselves whilst also advancing aligning the culture and strategic focus of the organization going forwards.

The session is also meant to build capacity of secretariat staff and board members   in interpersonal skills as well as come with a communication and advocacy strategy for the network.

Organized by UNESCO, the five days session is conducted in Bagamoyo with technical support from Empower Limited.

In Tanzania, UNESCO through funding from the Swiss Development Corporation (SDC) supports 25 community radios and the Community Media Network (TADIO).

The support is meant to ensure that people in Tanzania, especially the poor, women and girls, have the capacity to make informed decisions on issues that affect their daily lives based on access to relevant, culturally appropriate, gender responsive accurate information and knowledge.
