Education for out of school children in Thi Qar

In partnership with Educate A Child, a global programme of the Education Above All Foundation, UNESCO is implementing a project to improve access to quality and inclusive education for out-of-school children in Iraq: through its implementing partner in Thi Qar, the Swedish Humanitarian Relief (SHR) Organization, has enrolled 1,466 (840 boys and 606 girls) Out-Of-School Children (OOSC) of 6-14 age in formal education, Accelerated Learning Programme (ALP) or Youth Programme in coordination with Thi Qar Directorate of Education based through 21 October 2019.

During this process, every child who is registered at the school has received a school kit to facilitate his/her learning.
