The seven UNESCO creative cities of design assembled at Saint-Etienne’s (France) Modern and Contemporary Art Museum on 14th March 2013 to launch the EmpathiCITY forum aimed at developing a platform for experimentation and reinforcing mutual cooperation. The Declaration of Saint-Etienne sets out the member cities’ commitment to using such initiatives in order to harness the transformative power of design as a tool for social cohesion.
