Participation of civil society representatives

Decision 1.IGC 7 by the Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions authorized its Chairperson, on a transitory basis and until the modalities under Rule 7.4 of the Provisional Rules of Procedure (on the participation of non-governmental organizations as observers during the Committee meetings) are determined by the Committee, to request the Director-General to invite non-governmental organizations having interests and activities in the field covered by the Convention to participate in the next two Committee meetings, namely the first extraordinary session and the second ordinary session.

In accordance with Decision 1.IGC 7, the organizations concerned by this rule wishing to participate as observers are kindly asked to submit a written request to the Committee’s Chairperson:
