Intercultural dialogue

Peaceful coexistence within and among societies has become imperative today, in light of the global rise of intolerance, violence, discrimination, inequality, extremism and xenophobia. Achieving peaceful coexistence will depend upon everyone’s ability – notably that of youth - to gain and demonstrate intercultural competencies.
The Social and Human Sciences (SHS) Programme of the UNESCO Cairo Office aims to raise the understanding and cultural awareness of youth regarding global concepts supporting peace, and to develop their intercultural competence via interactive means.
