Guidance on Active Learning at Home during Educational Disruption: Promoting student’s self-regulation skills during COVID-19 outbreak

With COVID-19 rapidly spreading worldwide, according to UNESCO statistics on March 26, 2020, more than 1.5 billion school students at all levels worldwide have been affected due to COVID-19 outbreak. This implied providing online learning from home to maintain undisrupted learning. However, students have different individual differences, and not all of them have good self-regulation and motivation.

In this respect the joint efforts of UNESCO INRULED with UNESO IITE and other partners resulted in the release of the handbook entitled “Guidance on Active Learning at Home during Educational Disruption: Promoting student’s self-regulation skills during COVID-19 outbreak”, which provides framework and practical examples on promoting active learning as well as recommendations and tips on keeping good physical and mental health for learning at home.
