COVID-19: UNESCO mobilizes education ministers from around the world

With one in five learners currently kept out of school, UNESCO convened a global videoconference of high education officials on 10 March 2020 to step up the emergency response and share strategies to minimize learning disruption worldwide. The seventy-two countries listed below were represented including 27 education ministers and 37 senior representatives.

Albania, Andorra, Angola, Armenia, Bahrein, Belgium, Benin, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Burundi, Canada, Cape Verde, China, Costa Rica, Colombia, Côte d’Ivoire, Czech Republic, Croatia, Egypt, El Salvador, Estonia, Ethiopia, Finland, France, Gambia, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Guatemala, Guinée, Hungary, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Latvia, Lebanon, Libya, Maldives, Malta, Mauritania, Mauritius, México, Mongolia, Morocco, Namibia, Nauru, Nigeria, Paraguay, Philippines, Portugal, Rep of Korea, Romania, Russian Federation, Senegal, Serbia, Seychelles, Slovenia, Sierra Leone, Spain, Thailand, Tonga, Togo, Uganda, Uruguay, UAE, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Viet Nam and Zambia.
