The workshop will focus on the key concepts of the Convention and their implementation through community based inventorying, safeguarding measures, and policy development strategies.
A capacity-building training workshop on the implementation of the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, is set to take place this week in the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center from 25-29 October, 2015.
The workshop will focus on the key concepts of the Convention and their implementation through community based inventorying, safeguarding measures, and policy development strategies.
The workshop will include 25 participants from the Center’s staff working in the field of cultural heritage, presenting an opportunity to elaborate and explore the status of safeguarding ICH in Dubai and understand how the Convention can support the efforts of the Center.
Requested and financed by the Center, this initiative will enhance its capacities and integrate the provisions of the Convention in its activities.
