“UN in Russia” Bulletin №2 (April-June 2020) has been released

News of UN agencies and organizations for the period from April to June 2020 are available in the second issue of the “UN in Russia” Bulletin.

This issue features an article about UNESCO IITE activities in cooperation with partners and resources for supporting education in the context of COVID-19. Among these activities – an international webinar, dedicated to the use of advanced technologies for supporting school education during the pandemic outbreak, UNESCO IITE participation in the Moscow International Education Fair 2020 (MIEF-2020), particularly in the round table “Building More Resilient Education Systems: Innovative Experience and Lessons Learned during the COVID-19 Pandemic”,  a five-hour TEDx intellectual marathon “Chronicles of the Future. My new world: instructions for use”, and a series of handbooks on ensuring undisrupted quality learning, prepared and published by UNESCO IITE in cooperation with UNESCO Centres and Chinese universities.

Another article includes the information about the International Practical Online Conference “University of Childhood: Noteworthy Practices”, that was held online on 1-3 June 2020; about a series of information cards to provide teachers, parents and students with practical tips for living and studying in the time of COVID-19; and about an animated video “Sorting the COVID-19 facts from the fakes”, that was released by UNESCO IITE and the popular science Youtube channel “Nowchpok”.

In addition, an article about livestream of the “Telling the Truth” (“Po Pravde Govorya”) series with guest experts is published in the Bulletin. “Telling the Truth” – educational talk show series by UNESCO IITE and UNAIDS Regional Office, with support from Odnoklassniki social network. UN experts, psychologists and celebrity guests discussed the topics, dedicated to COVID-19 pandemic, during these online events.
