OVERVIEW OF THE FUNCTIONS OF THE POST

The UNESCO World Heritage Convention brings together almost all countries of the world around a common objective of conserving the most exceptional natural and cultural sites. One of the core communications products of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre (CLT/WHC) of the Culture sector is the World Heritage Review, a quarterly publication produced in English, French and Spanish versions.

The official publication from the UNESCO World Heritage Centre “World Heritage” is dedicated to presenting and promoting World Heritage sites, with detailed feature articles and news items about the most outstanding cultural and natural sites around the world.

World Heritage is designed to reflect and enhance UNESCO’s dedication towards Heritage; our legacy from the past, our responsibility for the present and our duty to future generations. Each issue is extensively illustrated with striking high-quality images, which accompany cutting-edge articles from the leading authorities on World Heritage, together with news items, analysis and a sharing of best practices in heritage preservation and promotion, targeted to a wide international audience particularly sensitive to cultural, historical, archaeological, ecological and conservation of nature issues.
