Leading Education 2030

Leading Education 2030

Education transforms lives and is at the heart of UNESCO’s mission to build peace, eradicate poverty and drive sustainable development.

The Education 2030 agenda, which is fully captured in Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG4) and its corresponding targets aims to, “Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”. This renewed education agenda is holistic, ambitious and aspirational, and leaves no one behind. Building on the unfinished business of the Education for All (EFA) period and broadening its focus to respond to the changing context of development and needs of the 21st century, SDG4-Education 2030 links closely with other SDGs and contributes to the success of all SDGs.

UNESCO Bangkok’s Education 2030 Team is dedicated to strengthening and expanding coordination and partnerships for the effective implementation of SDG4-Education 2030 in the Asia-Pacific region. The Team works with a wide-range of development partners to support Member States in their efforts to achieve SDG4 by 2030 and to sustain political commitment for Education 2030.
