Safety of Journalists: UNESCO Asia-Pacific In Graphic Detail #3

Safety of Journalists: UNESCO Asia-Pacific In Graphic Detail #3

Around the world, we have seen the brutal, calculated murder of journalists as the ultimate form of censorship of the free press. In the Asia-Pacific, these crimes have become an epidemic, with the 27 killings in 2017.

On International Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists on 2 November, UNESCO Bangkok joins the international community’s demand to end impunity, with the latest in a series of infographics to be released over the next few weeks.

These infographics convey core concepts of UNESCO’s work in areas that profoundly affect the lives of people throughout the region.

We encourage everyone to share widely and utilise these resources in their own projects and campaigns.
