Droughts in Latin America and the Caribbean - Session 4
Session 4. Tools for drought assessment, monitoring and planning
The impacts of droughts have been and still are considerable on the well-being of the inhabitants of Latin America and the Caribbean, affecting their health, economy, food and even social and political stability.
For these reasons, the coordination of the G-WADI programme in Latin America and the Caribbean, carried out by the CAZALAC centre (category 2 centre under the auspices of UNESCO), and the Secretariat of the Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme of UNESCO in the Latin American and Caribbean region, have defined the realization of a cycle of webinars called "Droughts in Latin America and the Caribbean. Description and Progress", consisting of 4 sessions.
