Cultural Information System of Costa Rica (Sicultura)

General: Integrate the country's cultural information into a technological platform for dissemination, analysis and knowledge of the Costa Rican culture.

Specific: 1. Identify the country's cultural resources for registration in the Cultural Directory of (Sicultura)

2. Provide georeferenced information about diverse cultural resources in the country.

3. Analyze the recorded information for the generation of scientific data that increases knowledge about Costa Rican artistic-cultural reality and the orientation of the country's cultural policies.

The Culture and Economy Unit of the Ministry of Culture and Youth has components that generate information about the cultural sector, including the Cultural Information System (Siculture), the Satellite Culture Account and the National Culture Survey. It was established in 2014 as stated in Decree No. 38427-C and its work is linked to the axis of Economic Dynamization of Culture of the National Cultural Rights Policy.

Sicultura is the online platform dedicated to the dissemination and knowledge about Costa Rican culture, through updated, useful tools, information for artists, entrepreneurs and the general public, composed by the Cultural Directory, Training Directory, Financing and Support, Cultural Map, Cultural Agenda and a section of Cultural Statistics.

Human Security Cultural program

Decentralization process of investment and development of cultural services and products in the national territory; seeking to increase access of culture and art for vulnerable populations.

The MCJ programmed interventions in 12 prioritized districts with 10 programs to promote the exercise of cultural rights, with theater workshops, concerts, reading access activities, film shows and more. This programming was included in the National Development Plan 2019-2022. The MCJ is part of the Prevention Component of the Bridge to Development Strategy and works with other institutions to ensure preferential access for people in poverty to the State's programmatic offer. This is done under the rectory of the Ministry of Human Development and Social Inclusion.

The MCJ programmed interventions in 12 prioritized districts with 10 programs to promote the exercise of cultural rights, with theater workshops, concerts, reading access activities, film shows and more. This programming was included in the National Development Plan 2019-2022. The MCJ is part of the Prevention Component of the Bridge to Development Strategy and works with other institutions to ensure preferential access for people in poverty to the State's programmatic offer. This is done under the rectory of the Ministry of Human Development and Social Inclusion.

1. Obtain preferential access to competitive grants for projects that address priority issues in PLANOVI: Include in the Basis of Participation of the 2018-2022 Puntos de Cultura grant, an additional score (minimum 2 points), for projects that address the theme of this strategic action, and disseminate among organizations related to this theme, the basis for participation in the call of Puntos de Cultura grant.

2. Strengthen protective factors against violence against women through the development of competencies: Implementation of social communication and training strategies, especially with minors, to enhance protective factors against violence against women through the development of competencies

3. Promote an ethic for equality between women and men: Regulation and control of the use of images and treatment of sexist and sexist communicational contents (advertising, news, training, in public shows, in mass media, in social networks and institutional communication) to promote an ethic for equality between women and men

4. Training of skills in men for the eradication of the power of domination and sexist control: Training of skills in men (prioritizing children, adolescents and young people) (external users) and in the male staff of the institutions (internal users) to the eradication of the power of dominion and of the macho control.

5. Protection and effective sanction in administrative and judicial headquarters of other forms of sexual violence such as sexual harassment and sexual harassment in public spaces: Training on sexual harassment and harassment.
