Resumen:

THE 17-MONTH PROJECT WILL CREATE A FIRST EVER NATIONAL ICH INVENTORY FOR THE PURPOSE OF SAFEGUARDING. CTIVITIES WILL BE UNDERTAKEN TO SAFEGUARD TWO KEY DEMONSTRABLY ENDANGERED ICH ELEMENTS. TRAINING WORKSHOPS WILL FOCUS ON THE PRINCIPLES AND WORKINGS OF THE 2003 CONVENTION, COMMUNITY-BASED INVENTORYING, AND THE USE OF AUDIO-VISUAL EQUIPMENT AND ARCHIVAL SOFTWARE. A 19-MEMBER ICH COORDINATION UNIT WILL BE ESTABLISHED TO OVERSEE THE PROJECT, PARTICULARLY THE INVENTORYING EXERCISES. THE RESULTING WILL BE PUBLISHED, ACCOMPANIED BY A REPORT AS PRODUCED FOR POLICY-MAKERS AND THE WIDER PUBLIC. TWO PROGRAMMES WILL ALSO BE UNDERTAKEN TO SAFEGUARD THE TRADITIONAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE(S) ASSOCIATED WITH THE GAME OF WARRI AND TRADITIONAL
BOATBUILDING. A PUBLIC AWARENESS CAMPAIGN ON THE IMPORTANCE OF SAFEGUARDING ICH WILL SPAN THE ENTIRETY OF THE PROJECT.
