La Oficina de la UNESCO en Beirut colabora actualmente con instituciones gubernamentales, asociaciones, ONG y comunidades del Líbano con el fin de fortalecer sus capacidades humanas e institucionales de salvaguardia y transmisión del patrimonio vivo.

El proyecto recibe financiación de la UNESCO y el Fondo Fiduciario del Japón y su objetivo es apoyar la aplicación de la Convención de 2003 en el Líbano, tanto a nivel nacional como local.
