On 8 February 2020, Ms. Stefania Giannini, UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Education, visited Moscow and delivered a speech as the special guest at the Gala Ceremony of the 60th Anniversary of The People’s Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) at the Kremlin Palace. During her visit, Ms. Giannini also had a meeting with Mr. Valeriy Falkov, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and Mr. Sergey Kravtsov, the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation. The meeting was also attended by the Secretary-General of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, Ambassador at Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Grigoriy Ordzhonikidze and member of the UNESCO Steering Committee for the coordination of the sustainable development goal 4 from the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Committee on educational programs under the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, Rector of the Peoples’ Friendship University Vladimir Filippov.
