Contract Management Training at IITE

15 February 2011

UNESCO Contract Management Training was organized for the staff members of the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education on the premises of the Institute on 18 February 2011. Two facilitators, Mr Dimitriy Greshnev, Administrative Officer at the UNESCO Moscow Office, and Ms Aikui Yegiazarian, Administrative Assistant at the UNESCO Moscow Office, conducted the training.  Read more Contract Management Training at IITE

The Director-General of UNESCO Irina Bokova has designated the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education (United Kingdom) and Infocentro Foundation (Venezuela) as the laureates of the 2010 UNESCO King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Prize for the Use of Information and Communication Technologies in Education. "Third Training Workshop on Online Course Development and Quality control" of the Avicenna Virtual Campus Project

The "Third Training Workshop on Online Course Development and Quality control" of the Avicenna Virtual Campus Project was organized on 7-9 December 2010 at the Avicenna Centre of Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey. The main aims of the workshop were to consolidate the development of the Avicenna Virtual Campus in Iraq (AVCI) regional network and to diversify and expand activities of the national network. Result-Based Management Training

Result-Based Management (RBM) Training and System of Information on Strategies, Tasks and the Evaluation of Results (SISTER) Training were held at IITE premises from 30 November to 2 December 2010. UNESCO HQ facilitators, Ms Othilie du Souich and Ms Anne Coupez, provided UNESCO Moscow office and IITE staff with exhaustive information on key principles of RBM approach and SISTER system usage. Conference IITE-2010 – step towards the Knowledge Society

The International Conference IITE-2010 “ICTs in Teacher Education: Policy Development, OER and Partnership”, organized by the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education and the UNESCO Moscow Office, was held in St. Petersburg, the Russian Federation, on 15th and 16th of November 2010. The Conference was organized in close cooperation with the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia, the St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation and the St. Petersburg State University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics and with support of CISCO Company. The International Conference "Informatization of Education 2010", organized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education, Belarusian State University, Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank with financial support of UNESCO Moscow Office, was held in Minsk, Republic of Belarus, on 27-30 October, 2010.
