نخيل التمر، المعارف والمهارات والتقاليد والممارسات

ارتبط نخيل التمر بالسكان الإقليميين للدول المقدّمة للطلب منذ قرون عدّة حيث مثّل مصدراً للعديد من الحرف اليدوية والمهن والتقاليد والعادات والممارسات الاجتماعية والثقافية المرتبطة به وأحد الأشكال الرئيسية للتغذية. ونخيل التمر هو نبات دائم الخضرة يرتبط عادة بالمناخات الجافة حيث تخترق جذور النبتة الأرض بعمق بحثاً عن الرطوبة. ويشمل حملة المعارف والممارسون أصحاب مزارع نخيل التمر والمزارعين الذين يزرعون فروع النخيل ويشذّبونها، والحرفيين الذين ينتجون المنتجات التقليدية باستخدام أجزاء مختلفة من شجرة النخيل، وتجار التمر، والمبدعين وفنّاني الحكايات والقصائد الفولكلورية المرتبطة بها. ولعب نخيل التمر والمعارف والمهارات والتقاليد والممارسات دوراً محورياً في تعزيز العلاقة بين الناس والأرض في المنطقة العربية ومساعدتهم على مواجهة تحديات البيئة الصحراوية القاسية. وأنتجت هذه العلاقة التاريخية في المنطقة والعنصر تراثاً ثقافياً ثرياً بالممارسات التي يتقاسمها سكان المنطقة ومعارف ومهارات تمّ الحفاظ عليها حتّى يومنا هذا. وتُثبت الأهمية الثقافية للعنصر وانتشاره عبر القرون مدى التزام المجتمعات المحلية بصونه؛ ويتحقّق ذلك من خلال المشاركة الجماعية في العديد من الأنشطة المتعلّقة بنخيل التمر والطقوس الاحتفالية والتقاليد والعادات.

Palestine - The photo shows a palm tree farm in Palestine where the ripe dates are transported to storage areas using traditional carriages. Also, judging by their height, these palm trees are old.
Saudi Arabia - A famous dates market in Saudi Arabia located in Baridah area which clearly shows the abundance of dates in the country and the huge quantities on display there. In the market, people hold daily auctions during the harvest period immediately after Fajer prayer which lasts all day.
