The Ministry of Culture of Cape Verde has launched the programme “EnPalco100Artistas” (100 Artists on Stage) to support 100 artists in visual arts, dance, music, theatre, comedy and "slam", poetry/literature whose performance will be disseminated on a free online platform. Each artist will receive 10,000 escudos (US$100) from the Government of Cape Verde, through the Ministry of Culture and Creative Industries. If the artist benefits from any other advantage granted by the State of Cape Verde, for the duration of the restrictive measures adopted in the context of the covid-19 pandemic, he or she will be entitled to only 60% of the amount. This measure is intended to provide "social protection for the artistic and creative class" of Cape Verde.
