Why Partner with UNESCO

UNESCO New Delhi collaborates with a wide range of partners across all its areas of work. These collaborations are deeply embedded in the organisation’s way of working at regional and national levels. These partnerships are vital for meeting global, regional and national goals, as well as creating long-lasting impact. By joining forces with numerous other organizations, UNESCO utilizes a range of resources and competencies in order to achieve common development goals and maximize the effect of its action.

The New Delhi Office works with its partners in different ways, some of which are:

  • Combining expertise for the implementation of various programmes at national, regional and global levels
  • Direct financial contributions, as well as in-kind contributions such as personnel, volunteers and equipment
  • Coordination and consultation on ongoing programmes relating to the development of policies, standards and norms
