The Director-General of UNESCO, Audrey Azoulay, has condemned the killing of sports reporter Omar Iván Camacho Mascareño in the north-western Mexican town of Salvador Alvarado on 24 March.

“I condemn the killing of Omar Iván Camacho Mascareño,” said the Director-General. “I trust the investigation underway will enable the authorities to bring the perpetrator of this crime to justice.”
